Aurora: Buttercup the Brave  
Alright, here's the second story with Aurora.  This time, there's only a couple of pages which look.... a bit off, especially the last page.  Not anything that really makes it unpleasant to look at, but it might stick out a little.  In any case, enjoy!

Alright, now last week I said that this story had Aurora doing one of the most badass things a Princess has ever done?  Well, look down at the next page...


Check it out!  She's about to fight off a mountain lion on horseback with a stick.  It's scenes like this that they'd airbrush on the side of vans in the 70's.  Okay, well this is maybe like a more kid-appropriate version of that, but you get my gist, right?

















Alright, that's two out of three.  Hopefully, by the same time next week I'll have the final story up.

I think that the golden dress looks really nice on her :D they used the pink/blue-joke in the sequel of the movie, too (and Aurora prefered pink ^^), but the horse looks really odd xD

yes, I mean the enchanted tales. Merryweather gave Aurora her wand and Aurora had some fun with it, before she went to bed. She turned her night gown from blue to pink and laughed ^^

In her defense, it's kinda hard to establish a clear personality for her when she has such little screen time and dialogue compared to any of the other Princesses. That it gives you a better glimpse into her character than the expected cuteness is one of the neat things about this story, well, that and her fighting off a mountain lion.

Nice to see her in a dress other than that hideous pink one, too. It's a pretty shape but a really gross colour, and that gold one really suits her.

the fact that she rides side-saddle really bothers me and i can't really figure out why. anyone else?

I guess it's because she's the most typical girly princess, so she rides in a girly way. Ladies used to ride like this while using skirts. More information here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sidesaddle

I can't get over how they would never, ever, ever let her go off alone on a horse she doesn't know. Also lack of riding clothes. Women historically had clothes for riding a horse. It also bugs me how they most likely wouldn't have let her rid a warhorse.

The art seems really well done, which is kind of shocking to me.

I also like the gold dress better.
