Disney Princess Designer Collection: Dress Inspirations, Graphics, & Fan Art

As the Disney Store will be taking a break from the Designer Collection for a few weeks, I thought now would be a good time to show off some of the speculation, graphics, and fan art inspired by the series.

The Disney Princess Collectables Tumblr was trying to pinpoint what dresses inspired the collection, and here are some of their suggestions:

Cinderella || Marilyn Monroe, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953)

Snow White || Elizabeth Taylor

Aurora || Jacqueline Kennedy’s wedding dress (1953)

Pocahontas || Grace Kelly

Mulan || Audrey Hepburn

Belle || Emma Watson

Ariel || Demi Moore (2010 Oscars)

I only really agree with Cinderella, Snow White, and Aurora as the Designer Collection was inspired by fashion from the 50s and 60s (so sayeth the Disney Blog). But the dresses they found really do look like the Princess's :D

That Ursula is awesome!!

And dude. I know. Villain dolls rock. I know there was a brief line that included Ursula, Jafar, Malificent, and the Evil Queen, but some of the dolls are rare and very hard to come by (Jafar in particular). They need more villain merchandise!
