designer doll shipping confirmations beginning
Just going to mention this because some people may be interested in knowing. Cut for those tired of seeing doll talk.

Since I know a lot of people are concerned about canceled orders, I thought I would mention that shipping confirmations have started going out! I just got my confirmation for my Rapunzel doll. I'm hoping this means they went through all of the orders and made sure there were none that were over sold. Also, the Disney Store president said hours ago (on Twitter) that they were double checking for over selling, so I'm hoping that means that they looked over that and got it taken care of.

If you have an order open, keep your eyes out! And anyone else get your confirmation?

A friend of mine was able to get Pocahontas for me cause I had to go back to work. The order still says Active so fingers crossed. :)

That's sort of what happened to me- I was in class (and completely ignored it while reloading the site lol), and luckily my sister got me a doll! I really hope you get your doll! I'm hoping they checked all that and all open orders will get their dolls for sure.

I missed out =( I get paid on Friday and didn't have enough for Rapunzel today. PRAYING I can get her for a decent price in a few weeks on Ebay when the hype goes away (ya right?). Maybe someone wants to trade for Cindy? XD

**Deleted because I just realized the discount offer was posted on the entry below this one***

I'm sorry! You should keep an eye on this comm, though. I think some people were considering a doll trading/selling post, and some people got extras of some dolls and are selling them. (I'm hoping to get a Jasmine this way!) Some people may want to trade- if not, I'm hoping prices on ebay stabilize, especially after people start getting their dolls from the online store and flood the market even more.

Good luck finding a Rapunzel!

And I know you deleted it, but I'm happy about the discount! I'm going to get the Jasmine singing doll, I think, to make up for not getting her designer doll. lol

signs of slowdown
the goodnews is, im kinda happy the prices are slowing down now, because around november the prices will raised Nightmarishly! Because of christmas that is comming up soon.

I'm a big Snowflake fan and I love winter wonderland!..
sadly however, even if the prices doo go stabilized, the biggest concern is is other members going to have it? or are they going to redirect their prices from auctions to Buy it now options!...

*learn this the hard way when the Kingdom hearts keyblade playarts was being introduced!*

I say to good luck for you since now im trying to find someone for a trade i am really wanting to seek.

NOW lets talk about traffic...

DID THE DISNEY.com corp actually showed how many users or people were online at once?

Re: signs of slowdown
I really hope there is no huge price hike. That would really suck. :( Thank you, I hope I manage to get one!

I have no seen any specific numbers- only thing said on twitter was thousands. They said it was historic highs, but that was really it. I'm sort of interested in the numbers tbh

Ya I seen that post! Guess I should voice some interest. Too be honest, I'm not going to pray for Ebay prices all that much. I've been looking up some of the other limited edition items and they're going for $400+ (mainly the Tangled items). It's not promising lol.

lol I'm glad that the Jasmine doll makes up for it to some extent. At least she's cheaper XD The discount is awesome, but it still ends before I get paid >< Stupid Disney. Maybe I can stay up and still use it after 12am my time, but before 12am their time?

Yeah, and honestly, I don't want to go to ebay and support scalpers. I'd rather buy from some one here who honestly didn't get an extra to resale- it just happened because they were trying to improve their chances of getting the doll they wanted.

It's better than nothing! I wanted this doll anyway because Jasmine is one of my favorites, so it works out some what. If you make a purchase late, it most likely won't post until after you're paid/make the deposit, so you may get away with it. (I've always been too scared to try- my mom does it all the time, though) I hope you manage to take advantage of the deal!

Slowly slowly
@ emharri, things went completely off. they actually made 1800 calls for things that is not the disney designer dolls related.

when the Moment ended i doubled check on ebay and it rose very very high. Some are in combinations with other dolls as well and selling them at a really foul price

rapunzel, Jasmine, aurora = $1000..
then this ONE user online posted the entire collection for 10 grand!

the goodnews is when people resell them, it becomes harder and harder and it solds out. It will be a while before people start reselling the items they bought from others, but the only draw back is that once you resell it, you wont get %100 of your money back.

the badnews is november and december are comming very soon, which may force the sellers, to do combination and still sell them for a high price! Not only that but also will become harder to buy for a single item (with a reasonable price).

its a double edge sword moment v_v...
Again really sorry that the cheer some of us made, was'nt very helpful at all v_v!

oh wow, already? I still don't have a shipping confirmation for an order I placed yesterday with Disney for 2 of the Animator dolls!
~Sill - Nice catch, nanoja!: Graces ~ Cheria - Oh my!kierwynn on October 19th, 2011 03:37 am (UTC)
Whoa, really? Maybe they're just trying to be sure they get these out of the way since there has been so much drama over them? I have no idea. lol I hope this wasn't a mess up and I end up with an empty box or something. I'm preparing myself for anything at this point.
(formerly emharri): jasmine - greenrizbef on October 19th, 2011 03:47 am (UTC)
Yeah, it may be because I use paypal, which tends to take 2-3 days, so I'm not too worried about the Animator dolls order (which says Active/Not Shipped). I'm worried about my Designer doll order and its blank status lol. I suppose if it fails I can buy Jasmine online somewhere, or maybe trade for her...

It took me over a week to get a shipping confirmation on items I ordered from the Disney Store. .___. It seems the designer dolls get out fast, but it still took 10+ days from when I ordered my items for them to come in.
(formerly emharri): why peterrizbef on October 19th, 2011 03:52 am (UTC)
Yeah it is usually about a week from the ordering date that I receive the products. 2-3 days processesing, and then 3-4 days shipping.
hachimitsu_inkhachimitsu_ink on October 19th, 2011 03:55 am (UTC)
wow O_O! i really did'nt know shipping is considered to be very precious for disney!

well look on the brightside, they want to double check if the purchase you made was the correct decision and they carefully packaged the item properly!

I guess.... I did order Belle, Ariel, and Snow White online, and they all had excellent packaging, lol

I actually called up about my Animator Doll order and they said that they actually moved their distribution warehouse so now it takes an extra 2 days to process. Its worse for me because I live in US but I'm actually an exchange student from UK so using my UK card, its another two days to process ¬¬ Because of this long time, they sold my Snow White doll that I bought so two and a half weeks later, when it came to packing my order, they had sold out and I juts got a letter in a box :(

I really do hope they've made sure there was no overselling. I'm still anxious and not going to relax until I get my shipping notification. (I haven't yet, though I did manage to get my order in about two minutes after the dolls went up, so I should be good right?)
ronnililrongal on October 19th, 2011 06:43 am (UTC)

I won't believe it until I HAVE HER IN MY HANDS.

No confirmation yet. But I'm expecting it to take a while, so I'll just watch the skies for my objets d'art.

Nnnngh, can I just say I will never do this again. I never want to get involved in huge collector frenzies -- like when there's some fad toy at Christmas I just stay home in my apartment with my judgey-pants on -- and I didn't know it was going to get this bad. Especially since for the first three I could just saunter into the Times Square store, pick one up, shoot the breeze with the salesperson (like the fabulous young man who was so fond of Mulan), and have an overall painless experience. C'mon, Disney. I just wanted to buy some dolls cause they're pretty. :(

I feel similarly to you. I normally only collect one thing (a certain designer vinyl toy). This Disney business has been pretty stressful.

I emailed Disney Store guest services as soon as i got my confirmation email and they said that my 4 dolls are reserved and ready for shipment so I'm guaranteed my dolls. I asked them when will I know that I'm guaranteed these dolls?

I got my shipping confirmation this afternoon. :D

I was going to ask if other people here seem to have been getting tracking information that said their packages were shipping really fast, because usually it takes a lot longer for me to get things from Disney, but (part of) my order is due to arrive tomorrow. Wow!

Also, has anyone else here been told that parts of their order was going to be sent separately? I got a shipping confirmation today that included my Pocahontas and Tiana, but not my Rapunzel. I called and a cast member told me she would be sent separately. This order is still labeled as "active."
Ri L.theladytrinity on October 21st, 2011 11:29 pm (UTC)
Woooo! Shipping confirmation for Tiana! YEEEES, PINKY
