I think I've set a personal record - the day after finding out about Pocahontas's page going up on the Disney Princess website I started and then finished her dress set! Well, well!
Coming clean, Pocahontas has a special little nook in my heart and I know precisely why - her movie was being advertised when I was most susceptible to mainstream marketing (approximately 8-9 years old). I didn't even see the movie in theaters but I had all sorts of Pocahontas merchandise. The older me is less media-malleable but still holds Poca dear to her crooked little heart.
Some may be wondering - where's Mulan? Mulan's page has been up for months. Where's the action on that?
There is a difference between my finishing Poca's dress set so quickly VS. Mulan's - Pocahontas's outfits were really easy to put together. I don't know if I'm somehow predisposed and that made it easier, or more likely because Pocahontas only had like 6 hats/accessories which cuts down on variation. But I know I'm being a bore - so I'll finish and post Mulan's set by Friday. Sound good :D?

Lotsa leaves... Oh, wait - those are feathers? Wait, what?!

Nice muff.

... And then this happened...

Like a Midwestern housewife dress! Oh my!

I'm really lovin' this Pow Wow dress! Very festive!

OH GOD SHE'S KILLED THE GIANT TURKEY!!!!1!

The necklaces were huge - it took me a while to figure out their proper usage.

The One-Shoulder Dress With GIANT FEATHERS!

The One-Shoulder Dress With Moderately-Sized Feathers.

She Looks So Naked in... Whatever This Is.

This dress seems v. Southwestern...
Except Poca lives in Coastal Virginia :/

Does this strike anyone else as being particularly out of the 1920's?
And with all that clothing, shouldn't she be wearing shoes?

This number strikes me as a battle dress
For no particular reason :D

IDK anymore... I just... IDK.
With the headscarf and the green/orange color scheme...
IDK.

The only dress that struck me as actually being made out of deerskin.

This dress pretty matched nothing
But I still love it :D
