Disney.com Princess Dress-Up Dolls: Tiana
If there's one thing to be counted on it's my procrastination. I didn't get to work on these until Wednesday evening, so if you came looking for them and continually came away frustrated that the pictures weren't up I'm sorry :C

So that's the bad news. Here's the good news: I'm done! Here they are!

Given the history of crazy dresses the Disney website has, some of Tiana's dresses & accessories didn't surprise me in their wackiness. But I was pleasantly surprised by the presence of Caribbean culture in Tiana's outfits as opposed to just doing big Southern dresses or Twenties flapper fringe dresses. It seemed very smart & globally aware of Disney, so good job there :D

If you'd like to see the rest of the Princesses, hop-a-long to my Flickr page to see all the dresses in one place or enjoy the individual posts (and commentary!): Snow White, Belle, Ariel, Cinderella, Jasmine, Aurora, Pocahontas, Mulan, How To Save Your Dress-Up Doll Tutorial, & Disney.com Princess Website Updates, Disney Princess Website Update (TIANA LIVES).

I can't decide if this dress was originally meant to be green with white detail
or some deerhide something out of Pocahontas's closet.
Nice flesh-colored shoes, though.

OK, not really...
Watching you >8[

The masks you see here don't really go with any of the dresses.
But this one was certainly very pretty - enlarge to see the detail!

Even her umbrellas get the naturalistic treatment.

Another incongruous mask.

Tiana the ballerina?

I love this dress - it's so colorful ^_^

Seriously, Tia? Watch your bow placement D8

She certainly loves dresses with petals and leaves.

I love Tiana's wedding dress.
And I can't explain the white stripes on her legs.
Just pretend they're traditional.

Like with most of the Disney dress-ups, I have some dresses here that I adore and others that I just loathe. The 2nd I adore the color and shape for absolutely, the yellow dress I think is adorable (though we could lose the crown on it and it does look a little bit like a ballet costume XD), the burgundy-skirted dress under that is fun (...in a Chiquita Banana kind of way but still XD;;;), and the lavender and teal dresses are simple but sweet. Some of them, though, are just weird weird weird. 1, 3 and 4 I think are ugly as sin (that one Yahoo survey thought that the commercial blue dress was matronly? What about #4: that is BEYOND matronly), and I just don't care for the ones with petals/leaves on them (particularly the orange one. Ew.). *sigh* But, I guess, as I said I usually end up this way regarding most of the Disney dress-up sets. Guess these guys can't be expected to be great fashion designers. XD

The "Scarlett O'Hara" dress is awesome! It makes me lol.

The grassy Pocahontas dress looks like it was meant to be a flapper dress with lots of fringe. They should have given her more 20s era dresses. Both sensible ones for day wear and some classy night numbers.
