According to the Stitch Kingdom article:

You may notice some items in the painting which were not in the movie. Remember, Walt Disney gave Thomas Kinkade full access to the original Disney Archives which means Thom was able to observe Disney works which were not included in the movie.

But here's something that irks me a little:

The painting features a lot of crosses as castle spires. And as careful as Walt was to separate his religion from his business, and how much of Kinkade's business is his religion - it was furrowing my brow, all right.

I went to DVD screencaps of the castle and couldn't see any cross-shaped spires except two arrows that make upside-down crosses.

But in checking my photos and concept art, I found the model of Beast's Castle in the Pays Des Conte De Fee ride in Disneyland Paris has crosses on its spires:

So the cross spires could be from concept art both Kinkade and Disneyland Paris capitalized on. I'm still giving it the side-eye.

And you may be wondering, where's Faline? Wasn't she kind of important to the movie? Thomas Kinkade doesn't think so.

ETA: Faline is with Bambi's mom! bri_chan pointed out Faline has blue eyes while Bambi's are brown. Thanks!

Snow White in the Woods (no cameos)

Kinkade adds cameos from his other paintings as he makes them - the Snow White & Pinocchio paintings have no cameos, but the Peter Pan & Cinderella paintings have cameos of Snow White & Pinocchio. And so Bambi is now a cameo in Beauty and the Beast.

Except Kinkade has yet to feature any of the characters from The Princess and the Frog in any other paintings, though apparently it was part of another series. I'm definitely giving him the side-eye for a lot of things these days.

Actually Faline is there. You labeled her as "Bambi and his Mother." If you look close, she has blue eyes. Faline.

Thank you so so so much for these high-rez downloads. It was said that Princess and the Frog was done for a separate "series" so that one probably won't be included as a cameo in the "classic series."

You're right! I'm glad because I really like Faline :)

I can believe that. I'm almost expecting a Kinkade Tangled painting in the same vein - he's making it for movie publicity rather than as a passion project.

I love his artwork!

I'm actually wondering if Tangled might be his next artwork piece? Because in this video he talked about he hope to worked on Rapunzel. So I wouldn't be surprise we see Tangled soon.

I wouldn't be surprised! Because Beauty and the Beast Falling In Love just came out I'm wondering if they'll wait for the DVD release of Tangled, circa Spring 2011.

Hmm...maybe? But if I remember correctly it was last year November when the PATF painting came out? So maybe next month we see Tangled? (I hope XD)

Ok, while I tend to have a rule against buying Belle in Gold when I can... this may be one of those cases when an exception is needed. *wanders back from website*

I've always loved these. I think the Peter Pan one is my favourite, though the PatF and Cinderella ones are a close second. I'm glad to see there's a B&tB one!

I hope Kinkade does The Little Mermaid one day.

Correction for Bambi's Mother
Correction, the image of "Faline & Bambi's Mother" is actually Faline and her mother. Bambi's mother is in the clouds above the mountain "Surrounding the young Bambi we see the animals of the unspoiled forest – Thumper the rabbit, Flower the skunk, Mole, Otter, and at the left, Bambi’s first love Faline and her protective mother. These gentle animals are reminders
that even a prince depends on the loving care of friends and family. If you look closely, Bambi’s self-sacrificing mother can be seen, as though emerging through the mists of memory, as a half hidden image upon the distant mountain. Truly,a mother’s love, like the spirit of the mighty mountains, will guide a son forever." From Thomas Kinkades biography on the painting http://www.thomaskinkade.com/magi/servlet/com.asucon.ebiz.document.web.tk.DocServlet?docAction=DocHome&docName=brochure_bambi&docType=pdf&promoLink=pdf_brochure_bambi

Re: Correction for Bambi's Mother
If you can find Bambi's mother in the clouds above the mountain - I admit, I can't - I'll gladly update the post!
