Flashback to Dollmageddon 2011
I was searching on youtube videos of the Disney Designer Villains collection and came across this gem of a video. I was laughing so hard at this video, because I've been through dollmaggddon last year. This video pretty much sums my experience and I bet a lot of other people as well.

This was hilarious! xDDD
And the dolls looked really scary with the inverted colors!

Ahaha, I love it. Kind of makes me glad that my husband's neat-freakery prevents me from collecting dolls. That and saving the money I would've ended up spending on these and aaaall the Animators' Collection dolls.

Oh. My. God. That is the single most greatest thing I have ever seen.

*snicker* That was fun. I hope no one has to face that, this year.

...It was just for the dolls, right? I'm not a doll, person, so I'm hoping my misc. merchandise for the collection isn't going to have this happen haha

*takes a deep breath*

You know, I still haven't unboxed my Jasmine and Tiana. I don't feel as if I've deserved them yet.

Don't know if I want to go through what I did to get a Maleficent, but damn, she's fabulous.

If you've been wanting to debox them, go for it! I took my Tiana and Rapunzel out of their boxes, and I think they're even prettier up-close! Plus, I was very careful not to damage the cardboard backing, so I can just put them right back in their cases for display. It's great because now their full skirts are loose and I can re-pose them whenever I feel like it.

I did not have any trouble getting any of the dolls, thankfully, but the last day online looks to have been awful. Did anyone actually manage to get a doll online?

My bf bought me Rapunzel at the store, so thankfully I was spared, though most people I have talked to seemed to have had no luck.

I hope everyone who wants any of the new Designer line manage to get all of their dolls this time around! :]

This was EXACTLY my experience! And I didn't even get a doll because the site froze up. What an insane day that was. I can't imagine what it must have been like for the people that stood in line.

This video is SO EXCELLENT. The whole debacle with the website wasn't even as crazy as waiting at the stores. It was absolute hell.

Hahaha, the voice coupled with the cursing. I had nearly forgotten about that nightmare! Oh, the page of that code that came up during that last sale. UGH! The refreshing and checking of every website with related information.

Even though I have loved Disney since I can remember, no merch had caught my eye like these dolls. This fiasco made me wonder if buying stuff from Disney was always like this. Luckily not!
