From the Telegraph:

Harrods will make every girl's dreams come true this Christmas when they unveil their festive windows at their legendary Knightsbridge store on November 1.

An elite team of 10 womenswear designers, including Versace, Roberto Cavalli, Valentino, Oscar de la Renta and - fresh from kitting out the real life fairytale Luxembourg royal wedding at the weekend - Elie Saab, have been enlisted to re-imagine the iconic Disney Princess dresses.

The results are, of course, magical, with Saab's Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) a vision in embellished blush ruffles, Marchesa's Ariel (The Little Mermaid) an oceanic siren in deep blue silk, Versace's Cinderella a contemporary idol in a golden gown adorned with signature Medusa motifs, and de la Renta's Snow White an ethereal bejwelled beauty.

Harrods' Disney Princess windows will be unveiled on November 1, but in the meantime, here's a special preview video of all 10 dresses and each designer's sketched creations in full .

New Cinderella Face Character Dress

Overall, I like the change in the sleeves and the pattern on the bodice - which was designed by John Lasseter, because why not.

C's and glass slippers make up the design

can't get rid of feeling that whoever was designing Aurora just had Ophelia in mind...

also, Cindy's new park dress is magical!! .. Not feeling the new wig, but the dress is perfection

You know, when I began work on my Cinderella dress (Which I am TRYING to fit into), I knew I wanted it to look like a park character dress...I don't have the intricate silver pattern on the main part of the dress (It's just regular sparkly casa fabric from Jo-Ann's), BUT I knew I wanted to make the sleeves and overskirt in sparkly sheer fabric, which resembles what she has on her dress.

Now, if I can lose about 10 more pounds soon and see if I can fit and take proper pictures of it...

The new Cindy dress also looks lighter, which must be nice for the ladies who have to wear it.

The old one looks so stuffy/heavy. I love the new look!

I love how the artists of the sketches of Snow White and Cinderella drew them to look like the actual characters. It makes it look like a really nice fanart :3

When I first saw the new face character dress I was giving it the side eye until I saw what the old one looked like (it's been quite awhile since I've been to a park). I actually think the new one looks closer to the dress from the movie, surprisingly, despite the color thing. The wig, too, despite the side bangs. And I do like that pattern on the bodice. So good job, Disney, I'm not angry with you today! XD

The new Cinderella bodice is so much more flattering... love the fabric.

Some of those sketches by the designers look kinda messed-up. Aurora looks like she's got 10 feet of legs or is on stilts, Tiana only has half of a face (which is completely white for some reason), an earring that looks like it's attached to her hair, and noodle arms. Rapunzel looks like she came out of a Japanese horror movie.

I do not get the world of fashion at all.

SIDE BANGS WIG?!?! If they totally get rid of Cinderella's original look I am going to *cry*.
Also, do you think the lady in the Pocahontas picture is Native American? If not....:/

You would think, for a professional company such as Disney, that it would not be hard to construct a white-silver dress and a strawberry blonde wig (without side bangs). Especially because they have a great reference for such a look, i.e. the entirety of the movie.

But instead we get these flop Cindy's with yellow-blonde hair and blue dresses and side-bangs. Who is this stranger? Looks like somebody trying to make their own cos-play dress and falling short of the mark.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if they went back and changed the original film.

Just sitting here waiting for them to make Ariel look like her new clip-art and disgust me further....
